Terms and Conditions.

1. Agreement Terms

This agreement outlines the provision of products offered by The Glasses Guys, a trading name of “North West Optical T/A Basements shades Ltd” (referred to as “we” and “us”) at 6 Monks Hall Grove, Eccles, Manchester, M30 9GL. The Terms and Conditions, along with an order form the entire agreement between us and the customer. Once we accept your order and receive full or partial payment, a legally binding contract is established between us based on these terms and conditions. This contract is governed by UK national law.

2. Sale Terms

When placing an order with The Glasses Guys, you agree to the following terms:

  • You are at least 16 years old.

  • You have received a prescription from a certified optician with in the past 2 years.
    If necessary, you must provide a copy.

  • You will provide precise information regarding your current prescription,
    including any additional notes, upon request.

3. Price & Payment

  • The price for the items you purchase is the amount specified at the time of your
    order, in addition to any fees for shipping and insurance listed on the order form.

  • The prices listed include any Value Added Tax (VAT) that The Glasses Guys Ltd
    may need to submit to tax authorities.

4. Delivery & Ownership

  • The goods will be delivered according to your order, and ownership will transfer
    to the customer upon full payment.

  • The glasses guys Ltd provides a free postal service for sending glasses but it is
    unrecorded. Recorded delivery options are available for tracking purposes.

  • You will receive an email notification when your goods are dispatched.

  • The glasses guys Ltd does not cover international shipping costs for glasses to
    and from the United Kingdom, including new orders and returns.

5. Liability

You assume all responsibility for the goods once they are delivered.

When reglazing your frames with new lenses, there is a slight risk of damage that rarely occurs. If damage does happen during this process, you will have the following options:

– We will repair your frame for free if possible.
– You can purchase a new frame from us at the cost price, which means we will charge you what it costs us to source the frame with no profit added.
– If you are not interested in the above options, you are entitled to a full refund for the reglazing service and have your frame returned to you.

If a new frame fails during the reglazing process, you should return it to the supplier for a replacement or credit under the manufacturer’s guarantee.

Please note that damage during reglazing is not uncommon in the industry, and our policy is in line with standard practices. We are not liable for any inconvenience,
indirect losses, or damages, but your statutory rights as a consumer are still protected.

  1. We will not be responsible for any delays in delivery or issues with goods caused by events beyond our control.

  2. Original lenses in your frame may be damaged or lost during the reglazing process, and we do not take responsibility for this.

  3. Frames with electronic components are not fixable by us, and any issues related to these components should be discussed directly with the original frame provider

6. General

  • If any part of these conditions is invalid, the rest remains in effect. The contract is
    governed by United Kingdom law.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to customers if it is not in the company’s
    best interests.

7. VAT

All prices include current VAT rate.

8. Returns & Refunds

  • The glasses guys has a 30-day return policy. Customers must report any problems within 14 days and return goods within 30 days.

  • Returned goods must be in original condition. Customers must provide proof of postage when returning items.

  • Refunds or replacements are subject to inspection and conditions specified.

  • Prescription inserts for AR glasses are non-returnable, except for faulty items.

  • Customers are advised to obtain proof of postage for returns.

  • Certain items are non-refundable, and return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.

  • Statutory rights regarding returns and refunds are upheld.

9. Request a Pack

  • By requesting a pack, customers agree to the terms and conditions.

  • The free pack service is for UK customers only.

10. Promotions and Offers

  • Promotions apply only during the specified period.

  • Voucher codes are for single use per customer.

  • Discounts cannot be combined with other vouchers but may be combined with specific offers.

  • Discounts apply to in-house lenses only.

11. Competitions

  • Competitions are for UK entries only.

  • Prizes must be claimed within 3 days of the winner being announced.

  • The Glasses Guys may use user-submitted content for promotional purposes.

12. Storage

  • A fee applies for returning frames kept for over six months without an order.

  • Frames may be disposed of after six months of no contact from the customer
